Is there travel insurance that protects one against the cost of trip ...

Is there travel insurance that protects one against the cost of trip cancellation due to swine flu concerns?
Basically , we are planning a trip to Western Europe from May 18th ? August 15th or so?

We just bought our tickets days ago, and I am interested in buying travel insurance anyway so that I have medical coverage while on leave from my job.

I am concerned now that since the EU released a statement asking for their citizens to avoid unnecessary travel to the US or Mexico, they might also restrict U.S. citizens if it gets worse. If this happens, and we have already bought tickets? will we be left holding the bag?

Or in that situation will American Airlines refund our tickets since its outside our control, or will they make us reschedule? If neither, then is there a travel insurance policy that would cover for this type of concern??

Thanks!
Yes! You can buy Swine Flu Insurance at http://www.quotefinder.org/Swine-Flu-Insurance.html They have information and it is not expensive. YOU MUST BUT TRAVEL INSURANCE BEFORE YOU LEAVE YOUR HOME COUNTRY
I always purchase Landa insurance for my tickets and items. It is expensive but when we were in Costa Rica the people started a small protest and they closed the airport.

Landa paid to change our tickets and paid for our hotel rooms for 2 days.

The insurance the airlines sale is not that good.
I'm not an expert, but I believe a trip cancellation due to medical reasons would be covered.

Contact the airline directly for their policy.
