When they have those here you're not supposed to mention adoption at all. The older kids kinda know whats going but you're still not supposed to mention it. We had ice breaker games which involved you asking people you didn't really know questions, who can cross their eyes? or who has a pet thats not a cat or dog? Ours are always at parks so the kids play and adults all mingle and sometimes kids will mingle too. Its more of a get to know each other and gives you the opportunity to talk to the kid's foster parents and kind of meet the kids with out pressure.
